Road Infrastructure Projects

The New Dispensation is undertaking various developmental projects aimed at improving the citizenry’s livelihoods. This is in line with the country’s Vision 2030 which aims to attain an upper middle income economy. Road projects include:

Beitbridge-Harare road.
Makuti-Chirundu road rehabilitation and expansion.
Emergency Road Rehabilitation Program (ERRP) across the country.
Dualisation of Harare-Chegutu and Harare-Marondera highways.
Construction of the Siabuwa-Karoi road is underway, and will reduce by half the distance travelled from Binga to Harare.
Plans are underway to rehabilitate the Beitbridge-Bulawayo highway, Bulawayo-Maphisa road, Bulawayo-
Nkayi road, Kwekwe-Nkayi-Lupane road and the Plumtree-Tsholotsho road.
Rehabilitation of the Mberengwa-West Nicholson road, which is the shortest route linking Gweru and Beitbridge.
Mbudzi Roundabout Interchange Construction Project is underway.
